Next are 3 telegrams from my Grandparents in Southampton to Jersey. The first was sent on 14 November 1940 and the reply was received back after 25 April 1941. The second was sent 1 January 1941 and replied to on 25 April 1941, and the third was sent 13 January 1941 and received back after 30 June 1941.
Emily Symons was my Great Aunts married name she was born Emily Mayne. Next time I hope to sketch in the family tree as far as I know it. I will be getting to the letters in sequence so I hope these are not too mundane.

from The German Occupation of Jersey by L P Sinel, Editor of The Jersey Evening Post.
Nov 14 1940 British planes fly over the island but are not fired upon. Persons made prisoner on Guernsey by the Germans are transferred to France via Jersey.
Jan 1 1941 Germans entertained a hundred children at the Continental Hotel.
Jan 13 1941 Only one cinema is allowed to have a matinee every afternoon of the week.
That's it for today, I will try to get everything on in order and hope to update the last items on the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation on May 8th 2015.
